Also called “tumbled” or “aging” marble finishing, along with the bush-hammered is one of the most ancient finishes. Marble antiquing is a surface procedure made on the natural stone slabs visible part which provides a rustic appearance, with rounded edges, and makes the material look as it’s been used for a long time, almost consumed although elegant and suitable for modern environments.
The marble slab, which was previously polished and sanded, is then treated with “tumblers”, machines containing water and abrasive substances that attack the stone, hence creating a worn effect. This type of finishing is known for its high durability and impact resistance.
