Marble is refinement, elegance and luxury.
As we all know, the bathroom is one of the rooms in the house where we spend a good part of our time. For this reason, it is important to be a comfortable place to feel at ease. Thanks to the experience gained, we are able to offer our customers customized and cut to size works for floor and wall coverings for marble-bathrooms with a wide selection of Italian marbles.
Why choose marble for your bathroom?
First of all, marble is a material that will never go out of fashion, it has an eternal value. It can be used to make various things like sinks, bathtubs, shower trays, floors and walls.
Furthermore, marble in marble-bathrooms is certainly the most suitable and used material in the global market, especially in refined and tasteful environments.
This is because, unlike any other industrial product used for floors, walls or decorations that age in a short time, marble is a guarantee as it remains beautiful and the same forever.
The best way to bring out the details of a marble bathroom in the best possible way is to create a part of the bathroom with bookmatch slabs. The effect it gives is unique and unparalleled. It involves selecting two consecutive slabs of the same block and once opened, almost like a book, you will notice the wonderful effect of the famous mirror design.
With marble, it is possible to create customized and design shower trays, to measure and design washbasin countertops, all of which are always customized on the customer’s request.
Thanks to today’s techniques, we can make lightweight marble (lightened marble). This allows, compared to the past, to decrease the thickness (5 mm to 1 cm) of the marble slab with the addition of a reinforcement, and to be specially worked to create plays of light with for example the creation of mirror panels of the doors or small partition walls of the bathroom itself. This allows you to make incredible, an environment where today people spend a lot of their day in relaxation and intimacy. Especially with the use of crystalline materials that have greater transparency and allow light to pass through more (such as Patagonia and Onyx stone).
Unlike many foreign marbles that are used today for bathroom furnishings, our Italian marbles – especially Bianco Perlino – are suitable at reasonable costs to furnish any type of bathroom design in an exclusive and tasteful way: from the top sink (washbasin) on the top of the bathtub with flat decoration and covering, on the shower top made of solid wood in multiple solutions, making any modern or classic furniture particular and personalized as well as maintaining the novelty and the exclusive and lasting beauty over time.
In fact, for many people the use of marble in a bathroom is almost essential. If you look at almost every house, you will find at least one natural stone decoration.
Acemar specializes in the creation of simpler vanity tops with a 2 or 3 cm top and holes for the bathtub and taps to solid or mastic glued washbasins. (see photo)
The solid washbasins being obtained from a block, are heavier and require higher processing costs, while the glued-in washbasins are obtained from 2 cm thick slabs (much more frequent processing also due to the difference in costs).
The main finishes for a modern bathroom are polished (shining effect) and honed (matt effect), but we are able to perform other types of finishes such as antique and brushed, processes widely used in the Italian market.
The most requested and standard tile sizes for a marble bathroom are: 30×30 or 60×30 or 60×60. In Northern Europe, however, the demand is often different. For example, “herringbone tiles” or “chevron” tiles are in great demand.
The bathroom floor can be 1 cm or 2 cm thick, but for a matter of maneuverability and transport costs we try to recommend the 1 cm thickness with calibrated beveled tiles and with a polsihed / honed surface. If, on the other hand, you want a one-of-a-kind bathroom and your budget allows it, we can create projects with large slabs in order to obtain an incredible result by making sure that the veins match.
The most used Italian white marbles for marble-bathrooms are undoubtedly Carrara, Calacatta and Statuario marble which, thanks to their natural veins, are able to create fantastic designs called “bookmatch”.
But how much does a marble bathroom cost?
It goes without saying that it all depends on the material you are going to choose. Marble prices vary from 30 € x sqm to 1000 € x sqm so it is not possible to set a price without knowing what your choice will be. The only way to optimize prices, also depending on your budget, is to send us a request for a quote.
If you still don’t have an idea of which marble to use for your bathroom, we recommend that you take a look at our collection and choose the material that best suits your needs.
